Description
Its a crook and its mini! With a diameter of 15mm, this tool allows you to effectively carve smaller bowls like coffee scoops and small shrink pots. I originally designed these for adding texture and decoration, but their adaptability to other tasks lends great utility to its user.
Overall blade length is 40mm, 10mm wide and forged 2mm in thickness. Due to its small size, particular attention has been paid to its edge geometry which has been ground to around 250. In turn this tool excels in tight radius cuts and comes back out of the cut with ease.
All of my crooks are made of 01 tool steel produced in Sheffield heat treated and tempered to 57-59 Rockwell. Ground to 250 with a slightly rounded edge geometry which allows the tool to efficiently cut back out of the bowl its carving
If this is your first mini crook knife I recommend that you purchase the crook for your most dominant hand used in a pull motion, cutting towards you.
Handle is a hexagonal profile at 120mm in length with a choice of handle materials shown in the drop down menu. All woods a sourced sustainably and local from the Sherwood Forest area.
